Missouri Tourism – Where the Rivers Run TV
When Missouri approached us, they were entering a competitive new era that was cutting into their share of tourist dollars. Neighboring states had upped the ante in strategies and budgets, forcing Missouri to re-energize their appeal. We were asked to reposition the state, break through the competitive clutter and generate 300,000 inquiries. Research revealed that the state’s natural resources were a big attraction. So, we created “Where the Rivers Run,” highlighting Missouri’s many streams, rivers and lakes and all the attractions to be found near them. Within the first year of the campaign, the state received more than 500,000 inquiries, the most in state history.
